S.T.A.R. relies heavily on benevolent donations from the public, 100 percent of which are used directly to save animals’ lives. Please consider supporting our rescue efforts!
Financial Donations
All monetary donations we receive are spent on essentials like dog and cat food, veterinary care, rent, utilities, cleaning supplies, boarding fees, and outreach. Donated funds also support the shelter’s foster and volunteer programs, ensuring that each animal receives loving care while waiting to find a forever home. Material Donations
We receive many generous material donations that help us to fulfill our “wish list.” If you would like to donate material goods, please drop them off at our shelter during regular shelter hours. We are constantly in need of:
DRY AND WET PET FOOD (especially dry cat food)
ECO-FRIENDLY CLEANING SUPPLIES (all-purpose spray, hand soap, laundry soap, and more!)
PAPER TOWELS
PET CARRIERS AND DOG CRATES (gently used is fine!)
LITTER BOXES (gently used is fine!)
DOG LEASHES AND COLLARS
RESEALABLE PLASTIC BAGS (like ziploc bags)
In-Kind Donations
We readily accept in-kind professional services as well. In the recent past, we have had professionals donating their time and expertise to various projects, such as building a new free-roaming cat room, designing a new website, and developing high-quality printed materials.
