New York City Pawetry Festival
A dog-friendly fundraiser for the NYC Poetry Festival featuring adoptable dogs, puptail bar, treats, and more

The Poetry Society of New York is hosting their Second Annual NYC Pawetry Festival, and we’ve been invited back! Come hang and meet a few of our adoptable dogs at Sixpoint Brewery Taproom at Brookfield Place in Manhattan. The event is 1-5pm, we’ll be there for a few hours in the middle. This tail-wagging literary celebration will feature poets reading dog-themed poems; a Puptail Bar featuring treats and goodies for your canine companion; a raffle; and more!
All proceeds benefit the 2026 New York City Poetry Festival, which brings thousands of poets and poetry lovers to Governors Island each year for a weekend of free, accessible, and joy-filled programming.

One of our favorite events of the year, many of our wonderful neighbors set up tables along our block and chat, sell interesting stuff, meet new friends… We’ll be hanging at a table in front of our storefront office selling merch and answering rescue questions. Please pop by! (The whole event is 11am to 5pm, but we will only be there for 2 hours in the middle.)

Jen de Leon and Jada Delaney are hosting a very special pilates class… where a handful of your classmates are rescue pups! Afterward, enjoy mimosas, puppy playtime, and stunning NYC views while meeting some of our adorable, adoptable dogs and grads.
All levels welcome, no experience needed, mats provided

All are invited to join this dog-friendly outdoor gathering celebrating the many pups that have passed through our doors. Bring your dog or fly solo and come mingle with us and other animal lovers — we'll have pet portraits, tarot card readings, fun things for sale, a raffle featuring lots of cool prizes, and more!
Hosted by LES Enfants de Bohème, the block party is just outside this restaurant on Jefferson St. between E. Broadway and Henry St.
